Laura Rudovic

The story of Laura's Boutique & Bridal began in Montenegro, where a young girl dreamed of nothing else but becoming a designer. "I never really wanted to be anything else more than a designer," recalls Laura Rudovic. As a child, she made every one of her family members get dressed up as a bride, using any kind of fabric around the house to create wedding dresses. Those early pretend brides were the first sketches of what would become Dream Couture Bridal.

After immigrating to the United States and eventually studying law in college, Laura made the courageous decision to turn her childhood dream into reality. In 2021, she opened Laura's Boutique & Bridal in Carmel, New York — now the largest bridal shop in the Hudson Valley — making it the exclusive home to her own wedding dress line, Dream Couture Bridal. The name symbolizes not only Laura's own American Dream, but the effort she pours into each gown to make them into the dresses brides have dreamed of since they were little girls.

Laura's approach is deeply personal and customer-driven. Brides can come in and literally design their own dress, and Laura takes in everything they tell her — from wishing for more gowns with sleeves to wanting removable skirts over a fitted silhouette. "You have to be able to sort out the correct fabrics," she explains. "You have to make sure that the lace and the patterns are going a certain way to flatter different types of women and different types of figures."

Within just a few years, Laura and her line have risen rapidly in the industry. Her designs have been featured in New York Bridal Fashion Week, on a billboard in Times Square, and in the pages of Vogue Magazine — a whirlwind she describes as "unreal." She has dressed a roster of celebrity clients from reality television stars to musicians, all while remaining deeply rooted in her community.

Despite her rise within the bridal industry, Laura says it's the blushing brides of the Hudson Valley that make her continue spreading that bridal magic. "There's no other place in the world that I'd rather be than in the Hudson Valley," she says. "I love this community. I'm so proud to have my line here. A lot of people feel that you have to drive far and go far to get luxury and affordable prices and high-quality gowns, but no — it's right here at home."

Today, Dream Couture Bridal stands as a couture house grounded in architectural precision, disciplined restraint, and intentional form. Each gown is conceived not for abundance, but for presence — a one-of-a-kind design as unique as every love story it celebrates.
