Stylist & Social Media Associate

We are looking for one person who can do both halves of this job well: style a client into the right gown in the fitting room, then turn that moment into something worth watching on TikTok. If your eye for detail is as strong as your eye for a look, keep reading.

Location

Carmel, NY — in person

Employment

Full-time or part-time

Experience

1–3 years retail styling

The Role

This is a floor role with a camera in it. Most of your week is spent with clients — reading what they actually need, pulling pieces that flatter rather than overwhelm, and delivering an experience calm enough that a nervous bride can make a decision. The rest is content: planning looks, filming vertical video, editing it, and posting on a rhythm that keeps our audience coming back.

Our inventory spans Dream Couture by Laura Rudovic through more than 250 designer styles, so you will work with a wide range of brands, silhouettes, and price points. We need someone who can switch between them cleanly and style each one on its own terms.

We are a small, appointment-only atelier in Carmel, NY. That means the details are yours: the rail is dressed properly, the steamer is never cold, the beading is checked, and the client leaves with the right gown and a reason to tell someone about us.

What You'll Do

  • Style clients one-on-one in private appointments across bridal, prom, evening, and special occasion.
  • Read a client's body, budget, and event — and pull the few pieces that actually work, not the whole rail.
  • Keep the floor merchandised: rails styled by collection, mannequins dressed, new arrivals placed with intention.
  • Plan, shoot, edit, and post looks for Instagram and TikTok — vertical video included.
  • Build short-form video that sounds like us: styling tips, new arrivals, behind-the-scenes fittings.
  • Take measurements, note fit preferences, and keep client records accurate so the next appointment starts ahead.
  • Follow up with clients after appointments and keep the client book warm.
  • Support showroom operations — steaming, tagging, receiving, inventory counts.

What You'll Bring

  • One to three years of retail experience, ideally in luxury, bridal, or contemporary womenswear.
  • A genuine styling instinct — you can build a complete look, not just hand over a dress.
  • Social media experience running or contributing to a brand account, not only a personal one.
  • TikTok fluency: you understand what earns a watch-through, and you can shoot and edit vertical video yourself.
  • Real attention to detail — pressed seams, intact beading, even hems, correct tags.
  • A creative eye, and opinions you can defend with a reason.
  • A portfolio of your work — styling, content, or both. A link is fine.
  • Two to three references we can contact.
  • Comfort working across a wide range of brands and price points, often in the same afternoon.
  • Warm, clear communication with clients who are frequently nervous.
  • Weekend availability.

Standout Qualifications

None of these are required to apply, but they will move your application to the top.

  • Bridal or prom experience, or an understanding of bridal sizing and designer fit.
  • Familiarity with the designers we carry.
  • Comfort taking measurements and advising honestly on fit and silhouette.
  • Editing in CapCut or Premiere, plus basic Canva.
  • Comfortable being on camera, and happy to host a fitting on Stories.
  • Discretion with private clients, including our celebrity and media wardrobe work.
  • Organized with a client book or CRM.
  • Reliable transportation to Carmel, NY.
